Telenor Hungary is a leading mobile operator in Hungary with more than 3.5 million active subscribers established in 1994. We helped them renew their mobile app, MyTelenor.
MyTelenor is a self-service mobile app allowing customers to check their balance, pay invoices, access a map based store locator, and manipulate services, like roaming or additional data tickets. They can manage their accounts on their phone quickly and comfortably, saving valuable time. It greatly improves service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
One of our most important goals was to enhance user experience. We had implemented several new functions and animations all designed to create an easy to use app. By reaching out to existing backend servers and building a new middleware, we also managed to minimize loading time and network data traffic. We redesigned the whole app giving it a new look in alignment with the refreshment of Telenor design guidelines. As a key element in the whole development process, we designed the codebase of the app to be very modular and scalable, making it easy to add a new function and to modify the app in the future if necessary.
Right after its release, user ratings started improving significantly, and the number of downloads also grew steadily. We’re very proud of the fact that within one month, MyTelenor app had almost scored a maximum 5 star rating amongst iOS users, and at the same time, the number of downloads increased by 25% amongst Android users.
